Awesome employees and great help all the time
I put a small padded envelope in the mailbox weighing less than a standard birthday card with TWO stamps on it and it got returned. I brought it to this location and they stated that since it was padded no matter how light it was it would cost well over $3.00 to ship less the TWO stamps I already had on said padded envalope. Many many companies all over planet Earth do the same job as the USPS yet they do it while remaining profitable and while not upsetting their customers. Not the USPS!!!
I took 4 separate packages to this office on 12/20 to be mailed 2-day priority. The labels were already applied, and I was given an estimate arrival date of 12/23. The gentleman in the post office told me to set them on the counter and leave them there. 2 days later, on 12/22, I went to track them online and my packages weren't even scanned in as received by the post office. I went to the post office and they said that they weren't there. He said that they were on their way to their destination, but they just "don't scan things in sometimes because it is a really crazy busy time of year." I get that its busy, but that's all the more reason to ensure scanning of packages so nothing gets lost. They finally scanned the packages in on 12/23. My family is still waiting for the packages to arrive. I paid for 2 day shipping!! There is nothing I can do as they held onto the packages without scanning, so it looks like I didn't drop them off until 12/23. They are expected to arrive on 12/28 now: EIGHT days after I shipped them. What a scam. Lesson learned: Make them scan the package in front of you!!
The staff is very friendly and always willing to assist. I only wish the P.O. Boxes were accessible 24 hours or late evening.
I know I am not they only person this has happen too, there needs to be an investigation on poor work ethic and an emphases on customer service. I mail 10-15 packages a week and almost always use Eastpointe, never have these problems, 2-out-of-3 times I used Centerline this has happened. Please call USPS when any-type of issue occurs, only way to fix a broken system.
This post office is horrible, bad service and worse, lack of effort to resolve any issues. I recently took a pre-paid package to this location, they never scanned it in just had me place it on counter. When I asked a day latter what happen, they stated it was probably missed being scanned but regional should of scanned it when it arrived. I told them it was not, as tracking always shows. Lady stated it will probably be scanned tonight; I then asked if my package was there and she no without looking or making any efforts. I am now filling a claim, again.
